FAQ
Q: Is air-dry clay durable enough for a vase?
A: Absolutely. Unlike standard air-dry clay, I use a custom home-made formula designed for extra strength and longevity. Each piece is reinforced to ensure it stands the test of time as a contemporary art piece.
Q: How does the “Glow in the Dark” feature work?
A: I mix professional-grade phosphorescent powder into the epoxy glaze. During the day, the vase “charges” using natural sunlight or indoor UV light. At night, the vase emits a soft, ethereal glow. It’s a functional sculpture by day and a glowing installation by night!
Q: How should I clean my vase?
A: Since the exterior is a hard epoxy shell, you can simply wipe it down with a damp, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or placing the vase in a dishwasher, as it is a hand-crafted art piece.
Q: Do you take custom commissions?
A: “Yes! I love collaborating on unique shapes and glow patterns. Contact me to discuss your vision.”
Q: Can I put water and real flowers in these vases?
A: My standard vases are finished with a high-grade Epoxy Resin glaze on the outside, making them water-resistant and very strong. However, they are intended for dry arrangements, silk flowers, or as standalone sculptures.
Need it Waterproof? I can make a fully waterproof version (sealed with epoxy on the inside) as a Custom Order. Please contact me before purchasing if you intend to use the vase for live flowers and standing water!
Q: What makes your air-dry clay “extra strong”?
A: I don’t use store-bought hobby clay. I use a home-made professional formula and finish every piece with a thick epoxy coating. This makes the art “shatter-resistant” compared to traditional ceramics, though it should still be handled with the care of a fine art piece.
Q: How do I “charge” the Glow-in-the-Dark feature?
A: Simply place your vase in a room with natural sunlight or near a bright indoor lamp during the day. The phosphorescent powder in the epoxy will “soak up” the light and glow beautifully once the lights go out.
